Shankarnarayana Cashews began its journey in 2011 under the leadership of Mr. H. Shashidhar Shetty. What started as a small cashew processing unit in the rural landscape of Krodabailoor, Kundapura Taluk, was built on the belief that dedication to quality would eventually create trust in the market.

Conditioning and Drying
Raw nuts undergo controlled drying, reducing moisture and preparing them for shelling, with temperature and timing closely monitored to maintain integrity.

Roasting or Steaming
Controlled roasting or steaming loosens the outer shell while safeguarding the kernel, enhancing shelling efficiency without compromising quality.

Shelling – The Art of Precision
Modern cutting systems combined with trained supervision ensure kernels remain intact and breakage is minimized during shell removal.

Kernel Drying
After shelling, kernels are dried under controlled conditions to stabilize moisture content and prepare for the next phase of refinement.

Peeling
The thin testa covering the kernel is gently removed, revealing the ivory-colored cashew, with skilled workers preserving its natural form.

Grading and Sorting
Cashews are classified according to grades (W180, W210, W240, etc.) based on size, color, and shape, ensuring consistency across markets.

Quality Inspection
Every batch undergoes visual, size, moisture, and weight inspection. Only kernels meeting SNC’s high standards move forward.
